EDSS as it is also known came into existence in September 2008 and became a registered charity six months later.
Our aim is to bring families and professionals together, to help inform and support them in a social environment without any pressure.
We encourage the development of self-advocacy skills amongst children and young people with Down's syndrome, and their parents and carers.
Incorporated on this site are links to a world of information surrounding Down's syndrome (also known as Down Syndrome) and issues related to this condition.
EDSS also has its own on-line special needs toy library with a provision of therapeutic, educational and stimulating toys and games.
